Welcome to the new look blog, my first attempt at creating a WordPress site.

Why the change?

Well, my site has been up and running since around 1999 and has been a mixture of flat HTML and a blog using Blogger.com.

The problem with the Blogger.com area, was that it was a little bit inflexible and didn’t allow me to do what I needed.

With the WordPress blog, I was able to copy the content from the flat HTML site and incorporate it all within te WordPress installation as permanent pages.

So here we are.

I’m still running the old site while I get used to WordPress, but slowly, all of the old content will disappear and the bits that are still broadly relevant, will be integrated here.

With any luck, this won’t knacker my search engine placement and should hopefully make things even better.

I’m still a big fan of XSitePro, but let’s face it, it’s not that good for a dynamic site.
